I've always liked flashlights, since my kid days. Always carry one (Inova Microlight) in my pocket wherever I go. Anyways: found a cool double led light that runs on a regular 9volt battery (can be found/bought anywhere), instead of a lithium battery. Weighs in at 42 grams, has great cold weather capability, and has a burn time of 1,200 hours..

R-Boogie came by my place last week and got my all hyped about getting an XBox (and it's multi-purpose functionality après-hacking). Found the DreamX Upgrade. I has all the funktions that I would like to have: faster processor, S-Video, Dolby 5.1, and increased RAM..

Porsche released the first ever 911 in 1963. Here's the latest variant: The 2005 911-997. Looks like they've gone back to the circular headlights, and worked in a better designed rear spoiler and tail lights.. If you scroll down the same article, you get a sneak peek at the Thunderbirds Fab1. You remember the Thunderbirds right? Marionettes doing action episodes on TV.. well they've made a movie version of it, slated for July 30, 2004 release..

Karim Rashid has relaunched his website. He has designed many objects that you have most likely seen and probably have used. He is also the designer of the Q-Chaise below..

I think I fell in love with lego when I was 3 years old. I haven't touched any lego in a while, but after seeing the JP Brown (Lego Mindstorm genius) Serious Lego Site, it kinda makes me want to go and buy a set. The two projects that I liked were the Aegis (track and launch) and the Cube Solver..

Passed by the knife shop yesterday, and noticed a nicely shaped tanto blade. It's the Boker Tactical I designed by Bud Nealy. In my hand, the Tac 1 felt light and well balanced while the handle's shape provided positive gription. The blade is 440C stainless steel coated with titanium nitride. The knife comes with Nealy's unique Multi-Carry System sheath, which allows the knife to be carried in any position (Yes, even inverted!). Comes in different grip and blade finishes.

To me, basketball kicks make a huge impact on my game on the court. I require a light shoe with good traction, excellent lateral stability, and a narrow fit. I've tried many shoe lines over the years, but the one line that I have been most satisfied with is the Air Jordan line. The new Air Jordan XIX's are the next Jordans on my buy list. They are reminiscent of the XI's, which is one of my all-time favorite Jordan's. Not a perfect 10 on Kicksology, but I'll get them anyways.

I've always had an affinity for one-wheeled vehicles. The RIOT Wheel is one of them (R.I.O.T. standing for: Reinvention of the Wheel). It's a little 'Mad Max' in the styling department, but the concept of how it works is what I like about it.

Honda has developed a new engine for their new plane. The Honda Jetliner has the engines mounted overtop the wings, creating more interior room in the cabin.

Minority Report-like computer interaction is now a reality. The Heliodisplay (TM) can stream video and computer images into mid-air, creating a floating touch screen. It's plug-and-play compatible with most video sources. Amazing..

This personal vehicle has been around for a few years now, but is now being distributed in the U.S. The Wheelman is powered by a gas motor and travels on hubless wheels. I was hoping that it could go faster than the stated 30 km/hr. An electric version is in the works..

Did you just buy yourself a new computer system and stand, have it all set up, but forgot to buy a chair? You can use your monitor's box and use your origamic engineering skills to create your very own BaudAndBui-style cardboard stool. It's strong enough to support a full sized adult, and it's a bonus if your monitor box came with quality graphics..

I'm a big fan of 'Ghost in the Shell'. The sequel is being released in Japanese theatres. See the GITS2 Trailer here..

I've had my Clie NX70-V for around a year and a half now, and I have been happy with what it can do for it's size. And now... I think I've found it's mate: The new Sony Vaio VGN-U70. Smaller than a laptop so it easily baggable. Runs on XP with 1GHz Pentium M. 20Gig hard drive with 512mb memory. Comes with USB 2.0, CF and MemStick ports, and Centrino.

I'm down with all the plastic toys being produced these days, but it's great to see some things that are made of wood. Björn Berglund has his mecha inspired wooden bots showcased on his site.

The US Army has been looking to replace the M16 for a while now. Could the XM8 by HK be it? Looks a little too 'Starship Troopers' for me, but has some interesting features..

Ever remember the big chase scene in 'Ghost in the Shell', where the thug was wearing a cloak that turned him invisible? Well this project has been floating around for a while now, but I thought that I'd share it. It's no surprise that this active camouflage project is being led by a Japanese guy wearing a cloak that turns him nearly invisible..

Looking for a great sports car, for a decent price, that most likely, not very many other people other than you will be driving? Have a look at the Lotus Elise. Just released in North America.

Sometimes screwing around with Photoshop can be fun. Check out this thread on JC's adventures! Back in high school.. before Photoshop was invented, we used to make fun of photos manually (by actually drawing on the photos).

I also stumbled onto this cool thread about robot images. I liked the diversity of styles.

Errolson Hugh who has designed for Burton/Analog/Gravis, showcased his own line of clothing (ACRONYM) earlier this year. Below is his KIT which features and bag that integrates with the jacket. His gear is very limited, and is hard to find information on. However, Being Hunted.. has a sneak peek and a pending article on their site right now regarding Errolson's new line. (Thanks to Alex Schelbert for the pics.)
