If you're open to something other than an iPod nano.. then you might want to consider the Jens MP-500.. This delicious piece of tech from Sweden is very similar in dimension and weight to the nano (slightly thicker), but has way more features right out of the box.. Plays music (MP3/WMA/OGG).. Plays video (MP4->can transcode WMV/AVI/ASF/MPG/MPEG).. Built-in FM radio.. Can save directly from other USB devices.. Built in mic.. Line in jack.. View images and text.. Cool white clothes in Tyvek® by UEG ("Usa e Getta").. Which means "Use and throw away" in Italian.. Unisex and Uniseason designed clothes / bags / envelopes / cases / etc.. And like the namesake.. Will eventually deteriorate.. In time for you to buy their next project..

Here are a few compact SMG (sub machine gun) designs that have peeked my interest in years past..

Developed by legendary gun designer Eugene Stoner in the mid-80's.. The Ares FMG (folding machine gun) in folded mode looks like a transistor radio.. Unfolds and is ready to rock in a few seconds..

Heckler & Koch.. Known for their extremely accurate and reliable firearms produced the MP5K-Briefcase (a variant of the venerable MP5) in the early 80's.. The trigger is integrated into the handle of the briefcase.. And is best fired bracing the briefcase against the chest or hip of the user..

And finally.. also developed by HK MP7-PDW (personal defense weapon) began production in 2001.. Has multiple firing positions.. As a pistol.. As a pistol with foregrip extended.. And as a carbine with foregrip and stock extended..

This item is similar in theory to my 9.20.2005 posting of the Power Squid.. However.. the Swivel Socket looks better.. and has the added functionality of a rotating labels.. which remind you of which plug belongs to what..

This is definitely not a new concept.. But it looks like 2005-2006 is the year of the 3-wheelers.. T-REX.. the Peugeot 20Cup.. the Volkswagen GX3.. But I'm liking the stee of this newcomer..
the SUB G1.. Tube frame and composite body.. Suzuki 996cc 6speed sequential.. Wishbone suspension.. They have a very informative site.. Lots of pics.. Including photos of the build process.. I wonder how many trikes we'll be seeing in the H.O.V. lanes in the future..

If you're looking for a good self-defense school, and live in the Vancouver area.. You might want to give Wolfes Self Defence a try.. No fancy-smanshy stuff here.. Just practical/realistic training.. Easy system to learn.. Getting fit and being able to kick ass are possible side-effects..
