Got my hands on the the mil-spec Zero Tolerance 0350st yesterday.. Fits really nice in my hands.. nice and grippy with the G10 scales.. The Speeedsafe assisted opening system works nice and smooth.. and ambidextrous thumb stud makes deployment in either hand easy (and acts as a finger guard once the blace is out).. The working end of the knife is made of durable S30V stainless.. with a diamond-hard Tungsten DLC coating for increased hardness and reduced friction when slicing and dicing.. Liner lock ensures you keep your fingers.. A very nice piece of cutlery to have at your side..

Found these over at Hypebeast..
The Tech Wrap by Fragment and the Tech-Wipers also by Fragment are a couple of great ideas that'll keep your photography gear (and even your shades) in tip top condition.. technically speaking..
The wrap acts like a new-school "furoshiki".. and the micro-fiber cleaning cloth of the wiper stores itself into its own mini-pocket..

Acrossair is bringing the future closer with New York Nearest Subway Augmented Reality App for the iPhone.. Point your iPhone down towards the ground.. and it points the closest subway stations in your vicinity.. Point the iPhone forward.. and it shows you the name.. direction.. and distance to that station.. Heads up displays here we come.. Awesome..
The Black & White Clock is white during daylight hours and then lights up when sensors detect dark conditions.. Post it on any white wall.. and it will look/work great..

Discovered two consumables over the weekend..
The first one is the NOS High Performance Energy Drink.. Yes.. it works and tastes like all the other energy drinks out there.. But it's actually the packaging of the 22oz drink bottle that I really admire (top pic).. Looks really close to the real deal nitrous oxide bottle (bottom pic).. Among all the drinks in the store cooler window.. this one jumped out at me.. and made me do an impulse buy.. I was looking for apple juice.. and came out with this bad boy instead!.. LOL..
Second is Green Tea KitKat.. Thanks to Lindsay for bringing these in from Japan for me.. Dee-lishus!.. Need some more..

Check out this Ink Calendar by Oscar Diaz.. Capilary action slowly draws ink from a bottle and colors/prints each date daily.. This calendar definitely showcases time passing by..
On top of that.. each month's ink color is based on it's "color temperature".. For example a cold blue for December.. and hot red for summer.. The calendar is cool.. and hot at the same time..
The Ashbury ASW338LM is a sniper rifle engineered around the versatile .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge.. Uses a Surgeon XL bolt action receiver.. in combo with a Saber-FORSST modular stock/chassis.. Folding stock with adjustable cheek piece and folding rear monopod.. Picatinny rails up front for extra peripherals.. Sub-MOA accurate to over 1500 yards..

Loving Zaphod Beeblebrox's home-made camera.. It shoots in ultra-wide 6x9 medium format.. The camera itself looks awesome.. and hey.. it takes great photos.. Nice..

Came across this awesome Porsche 356 Outlaw restoration.. Bomber jacket leather interior.. One of a kind water cut badging (Gesetzloser="outlaw" in German).. Custom sill.. bumpers.. roll cage.. engine.. exhaust.. wipers.. paint.. etc.. All the details create the whole look.. Tons of pics that show the process after the jump..
If anyone can find me more photos of this car.. please send me an email..

Check out this Self-Portrait Machine.. First it takes a photo of you.. Then you hook yourself into the machine.. and your hands are guided to draw your likeness.. Thus the machine literally has the help of your hands in recreating your self portrait..
Many years ago.. I bought the original.. and it has proven its usefulness on many occasions.. In emergency situations has helped cut wires.. bend things back into shape.. poke holes.. drive screws.. file burrs.. and even acted as the handle of my shaver on a road trip (when I brought the Mach3 blades.. but forgot the handle)..
Sucks that I lost it recently..
Well after doing some hands-on research with other brands/makes.. I'm going back and getting myself the new and improved Super Tool 300.. Improved for '09.. It is now more ergonomic.. constructed with stronger materials.. and has upgraded tools.. Looks nice in black..
This one reminds me of old-school 60's spy gear for some reason.. and that why I like the Quattro System for the iPhone.. Metal cover with threaded lens receiver.. The optional optical lenses add versatility to your cell pics.. Macro.. Fisheye.. Wide-Angle..

Ken Block takes Top Gear's James May for a drive through the neighbourhood.. And they meet a couple of friends along the way.. Good fun..
Check the work of Sego and Ovbal..

Michael A. Salter uses old styrofoam packaging to create really cool works of art.. My faves are this F1 Racing Car and these Styrobots..

Here's a great free font.. Cube 02 is available for free download in vector format..
Perfect for the summer season.. the Alessi Barbicu can configure itself from backyard patio version.. to portable picnic version.. Available in both gas and charcoal editions.. I'd pick charcoal.. Results in much better flavor for sure..
